Azerbaijan to introduce a single payment card for public transport
Baku, Fineko/abc. Azerbaijan is to commission a single payment card for all types of public transport.
Head of the Transport Policy & Economy Department of the Ministry of Transport of Azerbaijan Sadraddin Mammadov says that introduction of the single payment card is planned within the system of intelligent transport management launched since 29 December 2011.
Currently only the Baku Metro is applying own payment cards. At the same time, company Tales conducted preliminary assessment of introduction of single transport card.
