Baku, Fineko/abc.az. Today Icharishakhar station of Baku underground will be handed over for use.
The subway reports that the station opened after successful completion of work to install new escalators.
New escalators of Viktoriya type of German company Tisson Group possess the opportunity to save energy by 30-40% and are high security as well. Ventilation system of German company TLT was also installed in the station and work was carried out in the entrance hall.
It is noteworthy, escalators in other stations of Baku underground will be replaced in a phased manner.
In 2010, the escalators are expected to be replaced in Sakhil, 28 May, Nizami and Khatai subway stations.
New subway station Prospekt Azadlig is also expected to open in this year.
Let’s remind that work of Icharishakhar underground station was stopped on July 15, this year.
