Baku, Fineko/abc.az. Ministry of Communications and IT of Azerbaijan has counted up quantity of mobile phones per 100 persons as of January 1, 2007.

Rashad Nabiyev, Finance, Accounting and Economic Analysis Department Chief, informed that 14.62 mobile phones fall at 100 habitants of the Republic.

“In Baku that number is 33.4, in other regions – 9.4, and in settlements – 5.7,” R.Nabiyev said. Totally, the quantity of stationary phone apparatuses is 1,254,020.

“There are 50 mobile phones per 100 persons though a year ago that number reached 38 phones.” R.Nabiyev said. Now there are 4.3 million mobile phone system users in Azerbaijan.
