Baku, Fineko/abc.az. Azerpoct LLC has announced the signing of a cooperation agreement with company Western Union.

WU regional vice-president for Eastern Europe and CIS Jonathan Knaus informs that WU-Azerpoct co-operation will contribute to the development of the financial services market in Azerbaijan and will enable both companies’ customers to send money transfers to any point of the world in a few minutes.

This agreement will provide access to WU services in the most post offices in the country already by the end of this year.

Financial services in domestic post offices are rendered within Financial Service Development Project, including provision of banking and financial services in 1,200 post offices out of the 1,493 available ones.

Western Union is the first company in Azerbaijan that presents an opportunity of international remittances in national currency.

More than 830 points of services have been connected to the WU network in Azerbaijan, and 45 domestic banks are partners of the company.
