BP Azerbaijan social investments have totaled $2.38 million this year
Baku, Fineko/abc.az. In the 3rd quarter oil company BP Azerbaijan lowered much more expenditures on initiatives concerning social sector of Azerbaijan. BP Azerbaijan reports that during the first three quarters of 2009 its social investments amounted $2.38 million ($1 million in the 1st quarter, $870,000 in the 2nd quarter and 510,000 in the 3rd quarter) versus $6.4 million in 2008. “For Jan-Sept of the year social investments within Azeri-Chirag-Gunashli Project totaled $510,000 ($200,000, $180,000, and 130,000 respectively), Shah Deniz Project $280,000 ($100,000, $140,000, $40,000), BTC/SCP Project $290,000 ($500,000, $450,000, and $660,000), and BP 100 Project $300,000 ($200,000, $100,000, and $0),” it was reported. Last year social investment on ACG reached $1.4 million, Shah Deniz $800,000, BTC/SCP $3.9 million, BP 100 - $300,000 or on average by $350,000, $200,000, $975,000 and $75,000 respectively a quarter.
