Azerbaijan People’s Socialists appeal Turkish opposition to defeat ratification of protocols wit Armenia

Baku, Fineko/abc.az. Rovshan Husyenov, the chairman of the People’s Socialist Party of Azerbaijan (AXSP), addressed with a letter to secretary general ofleft-wing People-Republican Party (CHP) of Turkey – the key opposition party of this country.

AXSP reports that the letter covers the problem of misunderstanding appeared lately between Azerbaijan and Turkey because of signing of diplomatic protocols and normalization of ties between Turkey and Armenia.

“We especially high appraise CHP counteraction to the Turkish-Armenian protocols signed in Zurich, Switzerland, on 10 October 2009. AXSP voiced protest against signing of those protocols and demanded recall of the Azerbaijani ambassador in Ankara. This Turkish Party also claimed of the necessity to express attitude towards thre signed arrangements by Azerbaijan’s Milli Majlis. Such our position is not aimed against brotherly Turkish people and is only protest against actions of Turkish authorities. The Azerbaijani Leadership, in its turn, has fulfilled its commitments before Turkey starting from 1993. But current authorities of Turkey, unfortunately, demonstrate attitude “evil in answer to kindness. We believe that CHP run by You and respected MPs intend to protect brotherly relations between our motherlands in the Great National Assembly of Turkey, will prevent ratification of the above0listed protocols and express their protest against these agreemtns,” Huseynov says in his statement.
