Baku, Fineko/abc.az. U.S. President Barack Hussein Obama announced sanitary state of emergency throughout the country.

According to administration of the USA, the state of emergency is introduced in connection with spread of A/H1N1 virus («swine flu»).

The decision was made taking to account that rapid spread of the disease can result in overload of resources of health protection systems.

“We take active steps in order to reduce influence of blow of pandemic and protect  our citizens’ health. In spite of it, epidemic of A/H1N1 proceeds. A number of infected people continues raising quickly in scales of entire country,” the decree of U.S. president says.

Introduction of state of emergency gives U.S. Health and Human Services Secretary Kathleen Sebelius expanded  authorities,  strengthens possibilities of national medical services on controlling the splash of diseases by a new flu among patients, enabling , if necessary, to deviate from fulfillment of  concrete federal requirements and norms in individual order.

In accordance with approximate calculations, about 20,000 persons were hospitalized in the USA in all over “pig flue”. For the most part, children and youth are affected: about a hundred of children died because of the disease.

Epidemic of «pig flu» also develops in Russia, where, it is true, for the time being, a number of persons, who suffer from the disease, much less than in the USA.
