Baku, Fineko/abc.az. The Azerbaijani government starts implementing the construction project of the largest stadium Baku Olympic Stadium in Baku.
The tender for the building work will be announced soon.
“Baku Olympic Stadium will have the largest potential of seating capacity in the region. The stadium for 65,000 seats, will include shops, places for carrying out of sports and other events,” an informed source informed.
Covered area of the stadium totaled 300,000 sq m and the total area will make 32 ha.
It will be built nearby Beyuk-Shor lake.
Project of Baku Olympic Stadium was worked out by Turkish company ТОСА. The company will also control over construction work.
For the time being, the largest stadium of the country, named after T. Bakhramov, is for 37,000 seats.
