Baku, Fineko/abc.az. Cellular communications operator Bakcell is starting use of mobile phone search system based on International Mobile Equipment Identity (IMEI).

The Company informed that the equipment has been purchased and is installed at the moment.

“Equipment assembling is planned to be done in the near future,” Bakcell reported.

The operations on this equipment installation started in early 2008.

At present such facilities are used in system of rival operator Azercell.

IMEI is individual serial number of a mobile phone composing 15 digits.
