December 2, Fineko/abc.az. In Azerbaijan, 90% of residential buildings and 70% of commercial (business) facilities are not insured in the form of compulsory insurance.
ABC.AZ reports that Central Bank’s general director Ziya Aliyev stated about this at an event in Baku with the participation of the leaders of financial organizations of Turkiye and Azerbaijan.
"Most of the risks of the population and business related to property still lie with the state. Reforms are needed in the field of compulsory real estate insurance, as well as the use of Turkiye's experience, intellectual support of the fraternal country," he said.
