May 25, Fineko/abc.az. The Ministry of Taxes of Azerbaijan is working over reduction of the tax burden in the country.

Tax Minister Mikayil Jabbarov has stated that the proposals will be submitted to the government for consideration of the budget package.

"I’d like to note that in the future the policy of application of tax benefits will be continued, and this decision was made with taking into account the analysis of the efficiency of tax holidays for the non-oil sector, in particular for agriculture," the minister said.

According to Jabbarov, the proposals also mean reduction of the tax burden for small and micro businesses, as well as introduction of uniform rates for income tax on wages that will also be one of the methods of eliminating illegal employment in the country.
