May 30, Fineko/abc.az. Azerbaijan Railways (ADY) chair Javid Gurbanov has got acquainted with the current state of works on the reconstruction of the Baku suburban railway line.

ADY reports that Gurbanov visited Sabunchu station.

"Renewal of tracks and turnouts, reconstruction of railway crossings, construction of above-ground and underground pedestrian crossings in the necessary places, installation of fences along the tracks, improvement of energy supply and alarm systems, reconstruction of buildings and platforms of the station, including stops not directly relating to the station itself," ADY said in a statement.

Gurbanov also visited station Sumgait-Passajirskaya and washing-steaming station Balajari, visited a motor-rail transport workshop and a repair-mechanical workshop, and got acquainted with works on the use of new technologies.
