EBRD raises growth forecast for Turkey

September 28, Fineko/abc.az. The EBRD has raised Turkey's growth forecast for 2022 from 2% to 4.5%.

ABC.AZ reports that in its assessment the bank drew attention to the fact that the current account deficit and short-term external debt are the main vulnerability for the Turkish economy.

The EBRD stated that Turkey has strong banking capital, but global tensions may affect the course of growth.

The EBRD has announced that it has raised Turkey's growth forecast for 2022 to 4.5% after stronger-than-expected domestic demand and moderate recovery in exports.
