Tax Minister: satisfaction of entrepreneurs with tax reforms to depend on level of their compliance

June 5, Fineko/abc.az. The Tax Minister of Azerbaijan has again announced tax reforms to be aimed primarily at reducing the shadow economy.

During the 4th EU-Azerbaijan Business Forum Minister Mikayil Jabbarov stated that the level of satisfaction of entrepreneurs from these reforms will depend on the level of their compliance.

"The Ministry of Taxes is also taking measures aimed at simplifying tax administration. So for Jan-Apr 2018 the number of inspections, compared to the 2017 same term, reduced by 40%. This policy will be continued and we believe that a framework will be established between the number and quality of inspections," the minister said.
