Banks whose investments in securities reduced

November 5, Fineko/abc.az. Out of the 26 banks operating in Azerbaijan, 22 had investments in securities in their assets this year and as of 1 October 2021 in seven of them the annual dynamics of investments in the stock market was negative.

ABC.AZ reports that among these banks are Azer-Türk Bank, Rabitabank, AFB Bank, Express Bank, Ziraat Bank Azerbaycan, Bank Respublika and Bank of Baku. The largest decrease was recorded on Bank of Baku (42.4%), the smallest on Azer-Türk Bank (1.8%).

Investments in the stock market increased in 15 banks. These are Nakhchivan Bank, Eurasian Bank, Kapital Bank, Bank BTB, Bank VTB Azərbaycan, Turan Bank, Yelo Bank, Xalq Bank, Unibank, International Bank of Azerbaijan and PASHA Bank, Yapı Kredi Bank and Access Bank, Baku branches of national banks of Pakistan and Iran. The highest dynamics was recorded on Nakhchivan Bank (3.6-fold) and the lowest on PASHA Bank (10.9%).

Four banks – Azerbaijan Industrial Bank OJSC, Günay Bank, Muğan Bank and Premium Bank - did not invest in the securities market over the past 1 year. Therefore, it was not possible to calculate the dynamics of the financial indicators of these banks.
