November 17, Fineko/abc.az. MP Zahid Oruj spoke about AZAL's debt to the state.

ABC.AZ reports that he quoted the results of the audit:

"AZN 35.3 million of state aid in connection with COVID-19 were spent on liabilities of previous years, capital investments, unnecessary payments and fines of non-commercial nature, pre-approved directions not related to distribution.

Bank loans and other loans amount to $2.1 bn as of 1 January 2022 and pose a significant threat not only to liquidity, but also to the State Budget.

Where there are no companies operating alternative international flights, citizens fly 3-fold more expensive than citizens of Georgia and Armenia, only in one direction - to Turkey. Therefore, the management of the airports of Fuzuli, Zangelan and the future Lachin should not be transferred to AZAL," Oruj stressed.
