December 08, Fineko/abc.az. The forecast that we have given since the beginning of the year has justified itself, ABC.AZ reports, citing State Tourism Agency’s chair Fuad Nagiyev as saying this at the Azerbaijan Tourism Summit 2022. 

He noted that the tourism industry has recovered by 50 percent. According to him, 10 directions of tourism development have been identified:

"These directions are being implemented to implement the measures stipulated by the state program for 2022-2026. Our goal is to increase the flow of tourists from abroad to 4 million people by 2026, and domestic tourism to 6 million people. We believe that by 2026, tourism revenues will grow 4 times and reach 11.2 billion manats, of which 5.5 billion manats will be spent by foreign tourists."
