December 20, Fineko/abc.az. Entrepreneurs have opened large enterprises in Baku, but the export opportunities of these companies are sometimes limited, as they cannot compete with companies from neighboring countries.
ABC.AZ reports that vice president of the National Confederation of Entrepreneurs (Employers) Organizations (ASK) Vugar Abbasov said about this during public discussions "Customs Reforms: Challenges & Opportunities" in Baku.
He said that currently the main goal of creating the Alat Free Economic Zone is to ensure production with high added value and export orientation, corresponding to the best management practices:
"If the economic zone had been created 15-20 years ago, companies would have produced their products there. But entrepreneurs have invested a lot of money, they have already built their factories. Therefore, maintaining the internal processing process is a very important issue."
