AQTA branches established in Karabakh

January 12, Fineko/abc.az. The Karabakh and Eastern Zangezur regional branches of the Azerbaijan Food Safety Agency (AQTA) have been established, ABC.AZ reports with reference to AQTA.

As a result of structural changes in AQTA, 11 existing regional branches were reorganized in accord with the new division of economic districts.

In this regard, the Karabakh and Eastern Zangezur regional branches covering the liberated territories, as well as Mil-Mugan regional branch, have been created.

The main purpose of Karabakh and Eastern Zangezur regional offices is to carry out measures on food safety, veterinary and phytosanitary control in the liberated territories, including creating conditions for providing safe nutrition to the population resettled in these territories.

The Karabakh regional branch covers the city of Khankendi, Aghjebedi, Aghdam, Barda, Fuzuli, Khojali, Khojavend, Shusha and Terter districts, and the Eastern Zangezur regional branch covers the Jabrayil, Kalbajar, Lachin and Zangilan districts.
