January 17, Fineko/abc.az. The State Statistics Committee has released details of inflation over the past year.

ABC.AZ reports that last December the largest increase in prices compared with the previous month was observed on such food products as semolina, rice, pasta, cookies, chicken, fresh and frozen fish, milk, cheese, cottage cheese, eggs, corn oil, bananas, apples, pears, pomegranates, walnuts, hazelnuts, cucumbers, tomatoes, pumpkin, potatoes, onions, garlic, carrots, beets, sugar, sweets, tea, lemonade, fruit juices, beer. The decline in prices was mainly observed on oranges, tangerines, lemons, persimmons, kiwi, cabbage.

The consumer price index on nonfoods in December 2022 was 100.5% compared with the previous month and 111.9% versus December 2021.

In December 2022, compared with the previous month, a greater increase in prices for nonfoods was recorded on prices of furniture, carpets, washing machines, TV-sets, spare parts for passenger cars, synthetic detergents, soap, shampoos, and a decrease was mainly for edged boards, air conditioners and computers. There were no significant changes in prices for other nonfoods.
