Education Minister: number of subjects to be reduced at entrance exams in Azerbaijan

June 21, Fineko/abc.az. Azerbaijan is likely to introduce innovations in the process of admission to universities.

Education Minister Ceyhun Bayramov has stated that it is planned to introduce two amendments to the process of entrance exams.

"The first innovation is a non-competitive university enrolment of students who have received education within the framework of international accreditation programs of education, received special education, students who are winners of international subject competitions, international contests,” the minister said.

He pointed out that it is also proposed to reduce the number of required subjects in the entrance exams from 5 to 3 subjects for students who received the highest scores in the final exams.
