Expert: Iranian tourists ensure a 40% rise in housing rent market in Baku

Growth in the inflow of tourists to Azerbaijan has positively affected the activity of the housing market of the capital.

Nusret Ibrahimov, general director of consulting company MBA Group, has stated that foreign tourists rent actively housing in Baku.

"Mostly Iranian tourists rent housing in Baku, while Arab ones reserve rooms at hotels. So, as a result of activity of tourists, the Baku housing market renting in the summer season, compared to last year’s same term, increased by 40%," Ibrahimov said.

He points out that additional 10% growth of the market was achieved at the end of August due to the fact that students living in districts of the country returned to the capital.
