June 29, Fineko/abc.az. The Baku Metro Company has announced the transition to the summer work schedule starting from 1 July in connection with reduction in the number of metro passengers.

The Company reports that in accord with the new schedule the number of trains will be reduced that will lead to slight increase in the interval between trains.

"The traffic interval will be increased from 2 minutes up to 2.5 minutes, in case of additional decrease in the flow of passengers in the morning and in the evening to 3 or more minutes.

At May 28 metro station, where the road is divided into Icherisheher and Darnagul station routes the interval of movement will be 5-6 minutes," BMC said.

The new schedule will remain in force until the beginning of the school year.
