July 5, Fineko/abc.az. The State Customs Committee of Azerbaijan (SCC) inspects thoroughly the quality of alcohol products imported in the country.

The SCC reports that one of the seasonal issues of concern to the population is an increase in the risk of poisoning, in particular the issue of import of alcoholic beverages of unknown origin.

"Taking into account this fact, the State Customs Committee claims that the imported drinks undergo the customs procedures stipulated in the legislation and only after conformity of their documents, goods are imported in the country. In case of any suspicions about the quality of goods, it is checked in the Central Customs Examination Department," the Committee said.

According to the Ministry of Health, since the beginning of the year the country has not registered any facts of poisoning with alcohol.
