Rosselkhoznadzor did not permit import of contaminated fruits from Azerbaijan in Russia

July 11, Fineko/abc.az. State inspectors of the Rosselkhoznadzor Department for the Republic of Dagestan banned import of 18.8 tons of peaches and nectarines infected with quarantine pests from Azerbaijan to Russia.

The Rosselkhoznadzor press service informs that the cargo was detained at the Dagestan section of the state border of the Russian Federation - at checkpoint Yarag-Kazmalyar.

The inspection of the consignment during quarantine phytosanitary control, a quarantine object - Eastern fruit moth was found on the fruits. The presence of the pest was also confirmed by the conclusion of the Dagestan branch of VNIIKR (All-Russia Plant Quarantine Centre).
