July 25, Fineko/abc.az. Azerbaijan has seized the property for totally more than AZN 25 million in criminal matters for the 1st half of 2018 within the framework of combating against corruption.

At a press conference devoted to anti-corruption activity in the 1st half of the year Kamran Aliyev, deputy prosecutor general and head of the Main Anti-Corruption Department, stated that at the stage of primary investigation within the criminal cases sent to the court, they managed to ensure recoupment of AZN 16.578 million out AZN of 51.19 million of material damage.

"In order to compensate for the remaining damage, the property worth AZN 25.34 million was seized and other measures provided for by the law were taken," Aliyev emphasized.
