Azerbaijan’s state-governed road company Azeravtoyol is preparing for autumn-winter season and in accordance with the Action Plan the transition to the active schedule of operation is usually carried out starting from 1 October.

Company’s spokesman Anar Najafli has stated that in connection with fallen and expected rainfall Azeravtoyol has already introduced a new schedule of operation, as heavy precipitation fell in some districts of the country.

"Relevant work is also underway to bring appropriate plants and rainwater drainage systems in readiness, in particular, their cleaning is being conducted," Najafli said.

He points out that stockpiles of salt and sand will be prepared for the upcoming winter season and all the necessary equipment facilities have been brought in readiness.
