Total assets of Azerbaijan's banking sector brought up to AZN 26.16 bn

The Financial Market Supervision Chamber of Azerbaijan (FIMSA) has published the report on the results of the banking sector as of 30 September 2017.

The report says that overall assets of the banking sector of Azerbaijan for the reporting period amounted to AZN 26.16 bn and liabilities AZN 23.145 bn.

"Total capital of the sector amounted to AZN 3.018 bn and retail deposits AZN 6.999 bn," the report says.

The number of branches of banks reached 557, sub-branches 142, and cash machines 2,486. The quantity of employees of the sector amounted to 16,340 people.
