Central Bank’s currency reserves declined by 0.78% for August compared to July

September 4, Fineko/abc.az. Currency reserves of the Central Bank of Azerbaijan (CBA) decreased by $43.4 million or 0.78% in August versus July.

According to the CBA, foreign currency reserves as of 1 September 2018 totaled $5.5 bn compared to AZN 5.546 bn on 1 August of the year.

"On 1 July foreign exchange reserves amounted to $5.512 bn, on 1 June $5.47 bn, on 1 May $5.465 bn, on 1 April $5.508 bn, on 1 March $5.387 bn, on 1 February $5.38 bn and on 1 January $5.33 bn," the CBA said.

Thus, for Jan-Aug 2018 CBA’s currency reserves increased by $168.9 million or 3.16%.

CBA’s currency reserves increased by 34.2% for 2017.
