Maxim Oreshkin to come to Baku for participation in Russian-Azerbaijani Interregional Forum

September 24, Fineko/abc.az. Economic Development Minister Maxim Oreshkin of Russia and Economy Minister Shahin Mustafayev of Azerbaijan will take part in the 9th Russian-Azerbaijani Interregional Forum.

The Forum’s press office reports that the organizers of the event to be held in Baku on 27 September are the Russian Ministry of Economic Development and the Azerbaijani Ministry of Economy with the support of Roscongress Fund.

The Forum is aimed at developing trade-economic and humanitarian ties between the regions of the two countries and will become a platform for joint work of the leadership of Russia and Azerbaijan, including relevant ministers, ambassadors of both states, business community and experts. The Russian side will be represented by heads of six regions: Arkhangelsk, Astrakhan and Novgorod oblasts, Stavropol Krai, Dagestan and Udmurtia.

The event program includes a plenary session, where above-mentioned ministers Maxim Oreshkin and Shahin Mustafayev, diplomatic representatives, heads of business associations and heads of a number of Russian regions will deliver speech, an extended meeting of the Azerbaijani-Russian and Russian-Azerbaijani Business Councils, and a series of roundtables: "Industry: prospects of bilateral cooperation", "Development of cooperation in the field of tourism", "Development of cooperation in the agricultural sector", "Cooperation in the field of small & medium-sized businesses", " Strengthening of cooperation in the humanitarian sphere”, "Strengthening cooperation in the field of transport & transit transport" and "Prospects for cooperation in the development of women's entrepreneurship".
