October 9, Fineko/abc.az. Azerbaijani and German companies have prospects for cooperation in various fields, including energy sector.

Deputy Energy Minister Natig Abbasov stated at the Azerbaijani-German Business Forum that cooperation with German companies has been established, and there are great prospects for their further cooperation.

The deputy minister spoke about cooperation with companies Uniper and Siemens. Uniper is one of the first buyers of gas from Shah Deniz Project 2 and will receive 1.5 bn cu m of gas annually.

Also, Uniper cooperates with Socar chemical sub-company Azerikimya. The State Oil Company of Azerbaijan (Socar) cooperates with Uniper in the field of energy efficiency of Azerbaijan and has already signed a relevant agreement.
