Project of Food Security Agency endorsed in Azerbaijan

November 14, Fineko/abc.az. President Ilham Aliyev of Azerbaijan has signed a decree approving the Regulation and the structure of the State Food Security Agency.

The Agency is the central body of executive authority to carry out regulation in the sphere of food safety and risk analysis, state registration of food products and materials for their packaging. The SFSA will also issue certificates for export products.

Costs for maintenance of the Agency and its activities, and logistical support will be made at the expense of the State Budget and other sources envisaged by law.
