Azerbaijan studies experience of privatization in energy sector

October 26, Fineko/abc.az. Azerbaijan offers wide opportunities for privatization.

Kerem Hasanov, the chair of the State Committee on Property Issues, has stated that privatization is one of the four objectives of the Strategic Roadmap of the national economy.

"Currently, there are great opportunities for privatization in the field of engineering, metallurgy, chemistry, agriculture, light industry, health, culture, sports and tourism in Azerbaijan," Hasanov said.

He pointed out that international experience in privatization is also being studied in such areas as energy, telecommunications, banking, and tourism.
