November 14, Fineko/abc.az. CJSC AzerGold reports about growth of gold production in Azerbaijan in connection with optimization of operational processes.

AzerGold reports that over Jan-Oct country’s gold production totaled 36,632 ounces that exceeds the figure for the 2017same term.

"AzerGold plans to produce 45,000 ounces of gold before the end of 2018 that is by 33% more than last year. Currently, production works are carried out in accord with the plan. Large-scale geological exploration is conducted with the purpose to increase the reserves of the exploited areas and commissioning of new fields," the Company says.

The new fields will increase much gold production in the coming years. According to preliminary estimates, only exploitation of field Filizchay and oxide and sulfide phases of field Chovdar will bring more than AZN 10 bn of income for the country's economy.
