Azerbaijani insurers collected AZN 617 million of premiums since early 2018

November 28, Fineko/abc.az. Azerbaijani insurance companies collected premiums for AZN 617.2 million and paid compensations for AZN 205.9 million for Jan-Oct of the year.

The Financial Market Supervision Authority (Fimsa)informs that the premiums on voluntary insurance totaled AZN 450.8 million and compensation payments AZN 149.7 million.

"Premiums on compulsory insurance amounted to AZN 166.4 million and compensations AZN 56.2 million. Voluntary insurance accounted for 73% of market premiums and compulsory for 27%. Besides, 72.7% of premiums accounted for compensations on voluntary and 27.3% on compulsory insurance," Fimsa said in a statement.
