SOFAZ sold $252.2 million at currency auctions in September

The State Oil Fund of Azerbaijan (SOFAZ) keeps transparency of its sales of foreign currency in the local market.

SOFAZ reports that the Fund sold currency for $252.2 million at currency auctions in September, compared to $292.6 million in August, $253.2 million in July, $373.2 million in June, $300.3 million in May, $220.8 million in April, $250 million in March, $258.4 million in February and $285 million in January of 2017.

The record of SOFAZ direct currency sales accounted for October 2016 ($371 million).

For the first half of 2017, the Oil Fund sold currency for $1.94 bn.
