January 8, Fineko/abc.az. The National Hydrometeorology Department of the Ministry of Ecology & Natural Resources of Azerbaijan warns about the deterioration of weather conditions starting from tomorrow.

According to the Ministry, sometimes increasing south-western wind to turn into north-western wind is expected in Baku and on the Absheron Peninsula tomorrow.

"Raining is expected in some places on 9 January, and wind speed will increase at night and in the morning on 10 January," the Ministry said.

Increasing strong western wind is forecasted in the districts of Azerbaijan on 9-10 January. Rain is expected in some places and snow in the mountainous areas on 9 January.

In its turn, the Baku Transport Agency (BNA) urges passengers to be vigilant in the pavilions of bus stops and observe the pedestrian crossing rules in connection with the forecast on deterioration of weather conditions, particularly strengthening of wind. Drivers are also recommended to follow the traffic rules, in particular not to exceed the permitted speed.
