Libraries under liquidation in Azerbaijan

January 16, Fineko/abc.az. Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev signed a decree on the measures aimed at improving the structure and management of the Ministry of Culture.

Under the decree, libraries under the Ministry of Culture are being liquidated. A special commission will be established under the Culture Ministry to prepare the proposals for creation of new and progressive libraries to cover the entire country, as well as to improve the efficiency of organizations providing services in the field of culture and education.

Before the formation of a new library system, existing under the Culture Ministry, the libraries will continue their work.
