President Ilham Aliyev: Azerbaijan`s financial resources exceed external debt 4.5-fold

January 16, Fineko/abc.az. Azerbaijan intends to reduce the amount of foreign debt.

President Ilham Aliyev stated that Azerbaijan has great financial resources.

"Our financial resources and reserves are 4.5 times higher than the size of the external debt. This situation allows attracting new partners and foreign banks. At the same time, our policy provides for reduction in the amount of foreign debt. Last year the external debt was lowered from 22.8% to 19%, and this year it is going to reduce further," the head of state emphasized.
