Branding agency Landor works over new Azerbaijani tourism brand – Exclusive

January 22, Fineko/abc.az. International branding agency Landor has developed a new tourism brand of Azerbaijan in just four months.

Moscow-based Landor office’s senior strategist Igor Blagodasky has stated that work over the project that should have been presented on 5 November 2018 at the World Travel Market in London, began in July of the same year.

"Given the rather tight deadlines, all the work processes were designed so that the timing did not affect the quality. For this purpose, Landor's team of experts from different countries worked intensively on the territory of Azerbaijan that allowed us to learn more about the country, its history and culture, as well as the distinctive features, the way of life of people and their vision of the future. All this was the starting point for the creation of visual identity of the tourism brand," Blagodarsky said.

He pointed out that the brand consists of two figures, which together form a symbol, stylized under capital letter ‘a’.

"The new visual symbol is a lens that allows you to see more, to look at Azerbaijan and its culture from different angle. Now work over the project continues, so soon it will be possible to observe development of the brand," Blagodarsky said.

The State Tourism Agency of Azerbaijan presented a new tourism brand (logo) and slogan on 18 October 2018. Slogan of brand “Take a New Look” calls to reveal the unique stories and secrets of Azerbaijan.
