Fare for high-speed passenger train Baku-Ganja-Baku reduced

January 31, Fineko/abc.az. Azerbaijani Railways (ADY) announces changes in the timetable and the fare for high-speed passenger train Baku-Ganja-Baku, launched on 30 December 2018.

ADY reports that now runs via this route will be carried out daily. Earlier trains left every other day.

"In accordance with the new schedule, the train will depart from Baku to Ganja daily at 8:45 am and on the same day at 17:00 pm to depart from Ganja back to Baku. Time of train traveling will be reduced and will be 4 hours and 15 minutes," ADY said in a statement.

Changes have also been made to the fare in standard class cars. Fare of travel in these cars will be reduced from 15 to 10 manats. Free breakfast and refreshments will no longer be provided in standard class cars. Passengers will be able on their own to use paid vending machines installed in the train. Fare in first class and business class cars is going to remain unchanged. The order of food and soft drinks in the first class and business class cars will be kept unchanged.

"The new schedule and new tariffs will come into force on 4 February 2019," ADY reported.
