February 8, Fineko/abc.az. Azerbaijan’s insurer AzSigorta has deployed its operational headquarters in Shemakha after the earthquake on 5 and 6 February.

Company’s chairman of board Anar Talibov stated that more than 70 victims have applied so far to AzSigorta’s HQ.

"Most of the insured are owners of commercial properties, and only up to 10% are homeowners. According to preliminary calculations, the average amount of compensation payments for each insured event will be 1,000-1,500 manats, but there are also large insurance cases, the damage in which is 10,000 and 30,000 manats," Talibov said.

He pointed out that the HQ is currently working on collecting information and calculating damage to the insured property and payment of compensations will begin from next week.
