Milli Majlis has endorsed increase of minimum pension up to AZN 160

February 19, Fineko/abc.az. The Azerbaijani MPs have approved the amendments to the Law on Labor Pensions, envisaging an increase of the minimum pension from 116 manats up to 160 manats.

Khadi Rajabli, the chair of the Parliamentary Committee on Social Policy, stated that as a result, the pension of 233,000 pensioners will increase and this will have a particularly positive impact on thelower-income part of the population.

He pointed out that the amendments will come into force from 1 March 2019.
