Tax Minister informs diplomats about tax reforms and their results

March 5, Fineko/abc.az. The Tax Minister of Azerbaijan, with the support of the Presidential Administration, informed the accredited ambassadors and representatives of diplomatic corps about the tax reforms implemented in the country.

In particular, Mikayil Jabbarov stated that the main goal of the reforms is to create export non-oil industry, mechanisms not related to raw materials, and stimulate the business environment and entrepreneurship.

"Last year Azerbaijan observed a new approach to relations between the state and business. The new economic mechanisms aimed to reduce the scale of the shadow economy were also introduced. The main principles of tax reforms are the ability to forecast, ensure transparency and fairness, which as a result affected the level of voluntary business and the growth of fiscal revenues. The aim of the reforms is to ensure the growth of the attractiveness of business and investment environment and improve the conditions for doing business," the minister emphasized.

During the meeting Jabbarov replied questions from representatives of the diplomatic corps.
