Azerbaijan and Saudi Arabia to create electronic database for cooperation of businessmen

March 5, Fineko/abc.az. Azerbaijani Economy Minister Shahin Mustafayev received the head of the Saudi Arabian General Investment Authority (SAGIA) Ibrahim bin Abdulrahman al-Omar.

The Ministry of Economy reports that an export mission to Saudi Arabia will be organized this year.

"Saudi companies have invested $370 million in the economy of Azerbaijan to date. The Saudi Development Fund continues supporting projects for the construction of schools, water channels and roads," Mustafayev said.

The Azerbaijani minister invited businessmen from Saudi Arabia to invest in industrial parks and neighborhoods and take an advantage of the favorable business environment in the country.

"In his turn, the SAGIA head expressed his country's interest in investing and developing cooperation and proposed to create an electronic database for businessmen of both countries in order to organize cooperation between them," the Ministry informed.
