Iran and Russia discussed prospect of their countries` power grid connection

March 12, Fineko/abc.az. Iranian Energy Minister Reza Ardakanian discussed by phone with his Russian counterpart Alexander Novak the prospect of connecting the power grids of the two countries through the territory of Azerbaijan, Georgia or Armenia.

The statement was made on Tuesday by the official website of the Ministry of Energy of Iran.

In addition, the ministers agreed to hold a three-day meeting of the Intergovernmental Commission in Tehran and Isfahan to begin on 16 June.

The parties also decided to organize a conference on economic and trade cooperation between Iran and the North Caucasus in the Iranian capital on 15 May.
