November 24, Fineko/abc.az. The EU countries have invested $21 bn in Azerbaijan's economy.

Economy Minister Shahin Mustafayev of Azerbaijan says that those investments have been made in the economy over the past 10 years.

"The European Union provided assistance for EUR 595 million to Azerbaijan within various programs since 1992.

So far, 45 twinning projects have been implemented, including 29 successfully completed, 13 ongoing projects, and 3 projects at stage of development. Azerbaijan has become a regional leader on the number of twinning projects," the minister said.

Today, Baku has hosted a conference dedicated to the completion of the twinning project on support to the State Statistics Committee of Azerbaijan on bringing the national statistics system in line with the European standards.
