April 2, Fineko/abc.az. Azerbaijan’s electricity supplying company Azerenergy generated 6.15 bn kW/h of electricity in Q1 of 2019. The indicator is 153 million kWh or 2.5% more versus Q1 of 2018. Thus, the Company generated 5.998 bn kW/h of electricity in Q1 of last year.

In addition, electricity exports also increased compared to Q1 of 2018. In particular, in Q1 of 2018 Azerenerji exported 131 million kW/h of electricity to neighboring countries and in Q1 of 2018 the figure reached 161 million kW/h (rise of 30 million kW/h or 23% versus last year’s same term).

Compared to Q1 of 2018, this year’s electricity consumption increased by 3.41%. Compared with March 2018, power consumption grew by 6.1% that means a significant increase and growing demand for electricity.
