SOCAR becomes a supplier of fuel for airlines at new airport in Istanbul

April 10, Fineko/abc.az. SOCAR Aviation (a subsidiary of SOCAR Turkiye Enerji) has won a tender procedure for the supply of aviation fuel to airlines at the new airport of Istanbul.

The State Oil Company (SOCAR) informs that it has been drawn to render such services for five years.

"Every year we’ll supply 700,000 tons of aviation fuel to the airport," SOCAR said in a statement.

SOCAR Aviation is to cover 50% of jet fuel needs of Turkish Airlines at Istanbul's Sabiha Gokcen airport, as well as the needs for this type of fuel at the airports of Izmir, Bodrum, Antalya and Dalaman this year.
