Average salary in Azerbaijan reached AZN 554

April 16, Fineko/abc.az. Average monthly salary in Azerbaijan increased by 8.6% up to 554.9 manats for Jan-Feb 2019 against the relevant term of 2018.

The State Statistics Committee informs that the highest salary for the reporting period was registered in the area of mining industry, finance and insurance, professional, scientific and technical activity, information and communications, transport and storage services, as well as construction.

"As of 1 March the number of employees in the country increased by 1.2% up to 1,534,300 people, including 865,300 people working in the public sector, 669,000 people in the private sector of the country's economy," the Committee.
